Sound design. This involves building sounds from 'the ground up' using synthesizers such as a Serum and the Arturia V collection. It allows you to be quite meticulous with movement based sounds like swooshes and swells
Prerecorded stock samples. Sometimes the right sound comes straight out of the box.
Foley. This is the art of recording sound effects live over the existing footage. Very often the reproduced sounds are not made in the way you might expect. Here is me demonstrating the Hollywood laser effect.
